December is a time of celebration and reflection across many traditions. As the year draws to a close, people everywhere feel a pull toward joy, peace, and gratitude, creating a spirit of giving that’s unique to this season. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Bodhi Day, or any other day of faith, I wish you and your family health, happiness, and abundance this holiday season. At this time of year, we come together, share what we can, and extend kindness to those around us. The holiday season reminds us that small acts of generosity, warmth, and goodwill can make a world of difference in someone’s life.
Whether it’s through sharing a meal, offering a helping hand, or simply spending quality time with loved ones, each gesture helps spread the joy we wish for others. Of course, giving back doesn’t have to be limited to December. Imagine the impact if we carried this spirit forward into every month of the year to consciously uplift one another and create communities rooted in connection and care.
Gifts come in many different shapes and sizes. While the prospect of a new space to call home can be a transformative gift, bringing peace and excitement for the future, someone having to take on the task of buying or selling a home at this time of year when they’d rather be settled and celebrating is likely feeling the opposite of these emotions. If you know someone in that situation, I’d like to offer you a way to help. (See inside for details)

This year’s Season of Hope is delivering everything from specially adapted smart homes that restore independence and dignity for severely injured heroes to mortgage-free homes that offer stability and security to the families of fallen service members and first responders. Behind each home is a story of extraordinary sacrifice, courage, and resilience. Whether it’s a veteran overcoming catastrophic combat injuries, a first responder recovering from life-altering events, or a family grieving the loss of a loved one, the foundation is ensuring these heroes are honored and their families are cared for.

These efforts are made possible thanks to the generous support of Americans across the country, who stand with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in their promise to never forget. Together, we are giving back to those who gave so much, ensuring their sacrifices are met with gratitude, stability, and hope for a brighter future.
This holiday season, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation continues to turn compassion into action—one mortgage-free home at a time.

Why I Support The Tunnel To Towers Foundation & Breakthrough T1D?
|
|
I served over 25 years in local law enforcement with the Bakersfield Police and Kern County Sheriff's Office, retiring as a sergeant. Many colleagues and friends, including an officer in a Wasco SWAT standoff, lost their lives in the line of duty on July 25, 2021. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the family’s mortgage as part of its Fallen First Responder Home Program. My son Mason, diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 8th grade, relies on daily insulin. We support both Tunnel to Towers and the The Breakthrough T1D (JDRF) by donating a portion of our income. Learn more at t2t.org and breakthrought1d.org.!
